The absorption of fission products in the Prochilodus platensis (Sábalo) has been studied by determination of their specific activity in different organs and tissues 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 10 days and 30 days after contamination of the water, Contamination of the animal starts by adsorption on the mucous coating of the fish. Activity in stomach and guts, liver and kidney increases in the course of the experience; presumptively on account of the activity adsorption from the mud particles on which the fish feeds. Radiochemical analysis of the scales proved that the Sr9 0 is fixed largely and prevalently on them.
